The Russian invasion of Finland did not go as planned. After a series of lengthy battles with NATO forces and the 7th Cavalry Regiment, Russian troops were forced to retreat to their side of the border, allowing fresher units to take over the frontline and begin reorganizing and restructuring their battle-worn Battalion Tactical Group.
NATO, Having successfully defeated Russian forces, reclaimed Southern Finland, and tried extensive diplomatic discussions which led nowhere, has decided to invade Russia to pressure the Russian government into reaching a more favorable peace agreement.
7th Cavalry has been assigned the AO of Beketov and ordered to clear and seize critical infrastructure from Russian forces.
