ONE LIFE OPERATION
Scenario:
The year is 1975, US and Australian forces have been reintroduced to Vietnam following credible reports of North Vietnamese WMDs. Joint Task Force units have been working to expand the Saigon-Pleiku perimeter over the past week, focusing most of their efforts on breaking into the Mekong region to destroy NVA units occupying the area and expand an air corridor in the region. While their actions have been mostly successful, they have also taken heavy casualties in the process and are currently unable to conduct further operations in the Delta to ensure its full capture and the total destruction of enemy units in the region.
Gunslinger Platoon is being tasked with a SWEEP AND CLEAR operation in the Mekong Delta to destroy the remainder of the enemy units in the region with a focus on the destruction of AAA batteries and if possible, investigating reports of enemy tunnel complexes in the area. Gunslinger Platoon will also need to recover the bodies of JTF members in the region to allow for identification and burial.
Notes:
This operation is being done in cooperation with the Cadian XXth ARMA Group and their "Back Again" campaign. The results of this operation will have a real and tangible effect on their current campaign.
