Scenario:
You have 24 hours to once and for all liberate Lythium from the terrorist forces active in the region, gain the trust of the local population, and help support and grow the local Afghan Army. At your disposal is the entirety of the 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry arsenal. Be advised, the enemy is crafty and ruthless, they will note your weaknesses and exploit your failures at every turn. Keep your heads on a swivel and your eyes on the roads.
Also remember, we are not here to wage war against the civilians of Lythium. We should strive to leave their lives undisturbed or at least as undisturbed as we can hope to in a war zone. If they trust us and see us as a legitimate force, they will be a much greater asset in driving out these insurgents than our tanks and helicopters could ever be. Also make sure to cooperate with other actors in the region such as the local NGOs, police, and the Afghan army. All of them will play a critical role in winning this fight.
