BRIEFING
Everon has fallen. A Soviet expeditionary force controls the island's 72 campaign locations, garrisoning objectives, military sites and key road junctions. Friendly forces hold a small foothold at the northern airport near Saint Philippe (grid 047 112).
The airport perimeter and flightline are secure, but enemy forces retain the ATC tower immediately north of the runway and every surrounding settlement. The foothold is isolated until the tower and the first ring of enemy ground are cleared.
7th Cavalry Regiment has therefore been ordered to conduct 24 hours of continuous offensive operations from the northern airport: secure the ATC tower, break the encirclement, clear campaign locations along a coherent axis, hold every gain, and finish with the maximum defensible portion of Everon under friendly control. This order is Operation Long Watch.
