The Russian spearhead advancing toward Yehorivka threatens to rupture Ukrainian defenses and create a deep penetration into NATO-aligned territory. To prevent this breakthrough, German forces have been rapidly deployed to reinforce Ukrainian positions and establish a new defensive line, designated Ostwall.
