Operation Common Ground places coalition forces into the heart of Al Basrah, where rogue Iranian Revolutionary Guard units have seized key districts and captured U.S. personnel amid widespread civilian presence. U.S. and Iraqi forces will conduct a deliberate, district-by-district urban clearance to restore control, minimize collateral damage, and locate the captured soldiers. This Bring a Friend to the Cav operation is designed to showcase teamwork, discipline, and MilSim realism—fighting side by side on common ground.
