The Emerging Dawn is in deep space, but calling her space worthy is a stretch. She lacks guns and is in desperate need of repair. Luckily one of the major houses thinks they can help us if we are willing to help them where the Empire has refused. The Empire has outlawed the houses from fielding any capital ships or have any standing military, so the major house is willing to send us a few last generation fighters they have for us to use and some decommissioned turbo lasers from their old capital ships. In exchange they want us to clear out pirates from a nearby asteroid base.
Command believes we will need to gain space superiority and then conduct an invasion of the asteroid base and clear it of all pirates. We can not afford to pass up this opportunity to arm our fleet and expand our influence.
