Briefing:
The current political situation within Lythium is unstable. UN forces were dispatched due to rising concerns of mistreatment of civilians from the local government and have established a UN MOB at the major city. During the last three months of UN operations several members were attacked by a insurgent force that is occupying areas around the region of Lythium. The latest attack downed a UN helicopter carrying humanitarian supplies to the capitol. UN forces are stretched thin as it is with their ongoing mission in Lythium and have called upon US forces to intervene. First Battalion and Second Battalion have been dispatched to the region to increase stability as well as conduct anti-terror operations. After conducting the initial anti-terror operations elements of C/2-7 have concluded that the regional warlord Hassan Al Shadir is within the capitol city to interrogate the captured UN pilots. CENTCOM has issued the mission to conduct "house to house" clearing of the capitol to locate and find both the UN Pilots and Al Shadir. Al Shadir and the pilots must be captured alive at all costs.
