AO: Virolahti
Situation: Immediately following the success of Phase II, Joint Strike Forces have begun airborne and air assault operations to establish an airhead to secure a large chunk of Highway 7 from being used by separatist forces. C/1-7 and the Utti Airborne Jaeger Company have been selected to hold this vital front in an effort to develop an airhead and cut off frontline separatist units from receiving supplies and logistics from their rear guard.
Mission: Misfit Platoon is to conduct a static line jump with the rest of the combined forces combat team and is the main effort in seizing and reinforcing a rudimentary checkpoint along Highway 7 (MSR GOLD). Their objective is to engage and destroy any known separatist forces in the area and to ambush logistical elements attempting to cross through the highway. An armed gunship/drone is on station to provide ISR and assist ground forces with CAS. Misfit will be the first in line to jump, with multiple follow-on jumps to happen once Misfit is established in the AO.
Support: UAS/Armed Escort provided via UCAV/Armed Blackfish. Scout Reconnaissance screening the western end of the airhead. 2nd Jaeger Company (Mechanized), "Pori" Brigade in theater ready to push MSR GOLD once jump is complete. Atlas medical and logistics jumping with Misfit to assist in reinforcing structures along the highway.
