Pros:
  • Great inter-tank and within-tank comms
  • Very interesting operation design; would love to see this again on another map! Perhaps Mortain overcast?
Cons:
  • I cannot count how many times Panther tanks were called out as Panzer IV's and Luchs. As tankers, we react differently to different tanks, and having a Panther called out as a Panzer or Luchs got us killed several times.
  • We did not have full nodes until 50 minutes left on the game clock. I called out several times in command chat; nothing happened for quite a while. This definitely set us behind.
  • Map pings were very inconsistent. At times, tank pings were fantastic, tanks called out (sometimes correctly, sometimes incorrectly). Other times, tank pings went down with zero context in command chat. Both and I Berkowski asked about these ambiguous pings but did not receive any information on them.
  • Command comms were very loud and confusing. Constant chatter, they were never clear. We need to work on Command -> Platoon Leaders and Tank Commanders -> Squad Lead. The command comms are clear when we do this, and things come across concise.

Pros:
  • good planning
  • Fun Op idea
  • Great coordination between the airborne units to get the Garry with the AT gun from 400+ meters away
Cons:
  • Windmills was nearly impossible to push off of with the amount of tanks and AT guns holding us back
  • Fog
  • comms between infantry and airborne was very hard to hear and track.
  • more accurate pings with clear comms to the SL closest to threat

Pros:
  • everyone had fun, good concept and everyone enjoyed the gameplay
Cons:
  • command coms were overloaded.
  • bad calls on command chat it was filled with stuff like (smoke here) people here. was not needed.
  • was prevented from giving call-out's about tank movement and enemy OP's due to overloaded command com's

Pros:
  • Squad performed fantastic under pressure and stuck to what they were tasked to do on point.
  • Plan for point to be taken and defences setup was followed successfully whilst under pressure
  • Squad hot-swapped roles as needed and followed tasks
  • Amazing squad comms
  • FTX was setup well and having different units (Airborne/Infantry) having different objectives meant that they could focus on them 100% and played in-game really well.
Cons:
  • Command comms were a little cluttered

  • felt left by tankers
  • couldnt move past windmills
  • map choice was really difficult for the ftx idea

Pros:
  • Squad really enjoyed the concept
  • The map was great for this concept, I believe Mortain would as well
  • Solid communication within squad and with other squads
Cons:
  • Took a while to get our nodes down
  • Lots of overchatter in command coms
I do want to take a moment to recognize SPC.Ackerman.J. He was able to find two of the enemy garrisons and destroy them, he has quite a knack for searching those out and predicting where they were going to be.

Thanks for the great Operation.

Sergeant Sotelo.R - last 20 mins
Pros:
  • Great inter-tank and within-tank comms.
  • Very interesting operation design; would love to see this again on another map, tall grass and fog at night makes tanking without support difficult being on constant satchel watch.
  • Pings for enemy tanks we plenty when seen and for the most part correct along with call outs of what type they are.
Cons:
  • The call to continue to push windmills with tanks I thought was a wrong idea. with us being 5-6 my tank could have helped cover the mid point and shell the ops while they pushed the point.
  • Command comms were very loud and confusing. Constant chatter, they were never clear.

Pros:
  • Good Concept
  • Good assignments
  • Good Squad communication
  • Look forward to more 2-3 man squad assignments
  • Fog helped in making this FTX more fun
Cons:
  • It was difficult to follow information in command comms
  • When Axis's last garrison was left, there was a bit of a confusion around who is doing what

Pros:
  • Well planned Op
  • Very fun
  • Great use of all the different MOS's. Took advantage of their strengths
  • Made it easy to see how section SP's fit into a large scale operation
Cons:
  • Could have planned who would build what during the setup phase.

Specialist Knowles.J - first 20 minutes then flexed to AB squad.

Pros:
  • Even being aggressively harassed by enemies we kept sending off a good amount of shells.
  • Very interesting and refreshing Operation concept.
  • Comms were near perfect intra-artillery element.
  • Great execution of match start planning.
Cons:
  • We were lacking enemy infantry markers or fire mission callouts from our team in order to achieve full effectiveness.
  • Would have liked to see a better attendance from my section.
  • Troopers being switched from teams after briefing is issued (could have been problematic them knowing garrisons location).

Pros:
  • good enjoyable FTX
  • good Variation of the game to practice teamwork
  • once we got our bearing we defended our AOR good.
  • Nice laid out plans
Cons:
  • Confusing start due to original SL didnt show (have to adapt to take the leadership role to continue the plan), which caused us to be delayed in positioning resulting for the enemy to take out all the back garrisons in the south west.
  • a bit constricting but necessary
  • should've asked leaders or infantry what is their specialty eg: my specialty is sniffing enemy garries or operating behind enemy lines or very good in maintaining defence, etc. then assign them to their roles

Overall its a good FTX, been an SL most of my HLL time but my first role to be SL for 7CAV.

Pros:
  • Wonderful concept for Airborne practice. Search and destroy kept us on our toes.
  • Assigned as defensive AB, Grabo and myself were able to setup, and re-setup and AT gun to limit enemy movement in center grids.
  • Garrisons lighting up condensed the action and pulled us back, making us sweat which was good.
  • Shifting defense to last garrison we were able to setup excellent recon OPs to cover the area.
  • Holding Yamki allowed us to place forward OPs to continue searching for garrisons, an advantage the opponent didn't have.
Cons:
  • Had a couple nodes missing for a while.
  • Could have had squads setup OPs further from garrisons for better recon

Pros:

  • Great concept that was executed well
Cons:
  • Rough start with unclear game start node assignments
  • Personnel assignments got a bit rough at rally

Pros:
  • Match Start was executed flawlessly
  • Hard work was put in by all of the SLs to digest the game plan
  • Overall good concept
  • Comms were good
Cons:
  • Map selection for concept could be adjusted
  • many late scratches altered the precise initial plan
  • Late asset allowance 18 minutes before rally for Half-Tracks was not seen, and altered the parameters in a significant way
  • Attendance could be better

Pros:
  • Great concept would love to see this in OPs again on more maps
  • We won
  • Effective use of 7 man airborne tactics on last garry.
  • Suburb placement of allied garries
Cons:
  • Command coms were a bit frantic trying to find the enemy garrys, a lot of unneeded info
  • I mistakenly called out the enemy half track as their last garry position :(
  • Having to constantly look at the map to plan routes as to not cross the 4 grid square

Pros:
  • Very challenging
  • Great communication in squad
  • Had a clear mission to achieve, but the flexibility needed to achieve side missions if necessary.

Cons:
  • Command comms were cluttered. We need to be more disciplined and provide clear, concise information.
  • Taking enemy point past center threatened to disqualify allied side, steering us away from that point and increasing the time it took us to find the final garrison, which happened to be south of that very point.

Pros:
  • All garrisons placed in the 10 min window
  • Big thanks for those that joined early to go over game plan.
  • Concept was well received
  • Comms were good
Cons:
  • Command comms cluttered most of the night. Had to speak over people to make calls.
  • Incorrect tank callouts caused a few of our tanks to lose battles.
  • Missing 2 nodes for half the match.
