Pros:
  • We had good and fun time in this op
  • Mistfit 1 mas cas was fun for the medics and we didnt lose anyone in the mas cas
  • No Black tags in our care

Cons:
  • Dropping weapons when you troopers were going down, Westcott said he will look into it
  • it seemed to us that sections were missing buildings in there lanes and we were hearing shoots from there
  • platoon got separated on OBJ 2, which makes it hard for the medics to move between the section especially since there were eneimes in between
  • Bacon loadout did not work so had to regrab our whole kit after the mishap on the first insert (it take the medics a few min since we have to change a lot of stuff out like backpacks and get the tent and everything else again)

Pros:
  • Good coms with Misfit-5, who was acting as TACP.
  • Good internal coms with everyone.
  • CAS strikes were fun to do.
  • Took out 6 vehicles in a convoy prior to being shot down.

Cons:
  • Radio range was an issue towards the end when we had to fly between FOB and the infantry in the field.
  • Low turnout (likely due to CSC)

Element Callsign: Misfit-5

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Pros:
  • I had a blast with the challenge and change of pace being 5 for the first time and accepted the challenge head on
  • Was able to communicate with squads and stay close with Misfit-4 to utilize them for security for the LZ's
  • Was able to communicate with squads and take command when 6 went down twice to keep the PLT pushing and moving forward on their lanes and their objectives.

Cons:
  • This OP showed that Helios is going to be constantly thought about when planning because resupply as myself as 5 which isn't the role to carry the supply pack but to focus on the coordination for reinserts and how the resupply will happen.
  • I don't know the total 5-line call out so without Chaos I did the best I could to give Sparrow the most appropriate and accurate information as I thought made the most sense to give support for our gun runs needed.
  • Without the usage of Helios, AT mines, weapon supply and depots couldn't have been destroyed at the time of finding to deny the enemy or make more utilization for squads to maneuver.
  • Long ways to go for communication from MOB to AO making it only possible to communicate with Sparrow and Buffalo/Grizzly if they were halfway without an extended radio net. FARP could've been established as the platoon continued advance to fix relay problems and reinserts.

Element Callsign: Misfit -4

Element Leader: First Sergeant Westcott.R

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Major Hilberg.A
Sergeant First Class Borenstein.B
Sergeant First Class Lucander.P
Private Donovan.J

Pros:
  • Fantastic operation! M4 was 5 strong and we punched WELL above our weight tonight. Shoot n' Scoot was the order of the day for M4, we changed positions often to support the Platoon more effectively from more angles to make up for our lack of numbers
  • OP scale and scope were right on the money. OPFOR were in excellent positions and were tough but fair.
  • Platoon net was effective tonight with SL-SL comms controlling the battles.
  • Great work by -7 and crew patching me up several times this evening.
Cons:
  • A little more aggressivity during our assaults could have been dialed up. M4 flexed forward a bit at times to provide covering fire, but the maneuver squads lagged in movement and we were hung out a bit.
  • Blue on Blue.....again.
  • Squad sizes: I get that people want to squad up with their buddies...I do too, but if the Platoon has an entire empty squad and another at half strength, we need to shift the bodies to the sections that need them instead of having 12-14 man sections.

Pros:
  • Our sections bounding and communications was excellent.
  • Good LDA maneuvers.
  • Solid communications on the platoon net.
  • Excellent CLS support by CPL.Fryer.T and and Master Sergeant Zimm.L
  • Command and Control was really good within the section and from C/S 6.
  • Good reaction and callouts from section member.
  • Good cross element comms on the advance between Misfit C/Ss.
  • Really good OPORD. (A lot of work was put into it, and this was appreciated)
Cons:
  • Delay with reinserts.
  • More EN contacts.
All in all a very well run operation.... Thanks to all the GMs and the leadership for making this possible.
