Element Callsign: Skunk-1

Element Leader: Second Lieutenant Corbin.R

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Corporal Cade.B
Specialist Johnsen.M

Pros:
  • Enjoyed the new concept of being a lighter element, even more so as a guerrilla recon element.
  • Overall, fun operation and fire fighting.
  • Spot on marking for most of the objectives, gatherred almost all the possible intel we could recieve.

Cons:
  • Random kick/ban during firefighting with russian forces " Kick cause code: group=6 'PLAYER_MANAGER', reason=4 'TEMP_BAN' " which ended up being unfortunate, though it was fixed quickly once brought up.
  • Lack of a relatively indepth brief from phase 1 to phase 2, people that were introduced into phase 2 didn't really understand the mission to the fullest extent as well as the common themes with the CIA operative or the "wave" respawn concept.

Element Callsign: Wolverine-5
Element Leader: Master Sergeant Willson.JA

Pros:

  • Lots of solid comms throughout the platoon.
  • Map markers made since and were abundant.
  • GMs made for an exciting time for the members who attended.
  • Working as a weaker unit against a more potent force made for an exciting, challenging, and fun time.
  • Squads and Support elements worked very well together.

Cons:
- None

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Specialist Howe.T
Specialist Vara.J
Corporal Mack.A
Specialist Casey.W
Corporal Grey.W
Specialist Clegg.M

Pros:
  • Excellent fireteam support - cover and move
  • Fun overland drive over the north on final OBJ
  • Fun to have Recon on the platoon radio - really enriches the game play and adds depth to the roles
Cons:
  • Challenges in PID of enemy Vics and when they had been commandeered
  • Confusing arsenal behavior - I often felt I couldn't get what I needed to complete the mission (IE SBF needs LMG and ammo) - particularly later on in the op

Element Callsign: Wolverine-6 (Phase II)
Element Leader: Second Lieutenant MacMillan.M

Pros:
  • Relatively good platoon cohesion throughout the operation.
  • Strong violence of action from squads.
  • Skunk recon elements showcased the capabilities of recon elements, would be great to incorproate similar style within operations. Easy way to do this is to insert them either during the brief or while the main effort is conducting PCCs and PCIs.
  • Bear 1 put in the work, consistently setup fobs and moved beyond combat engineers as platoon size dwindled.
  • Very cinematic op, well put together and a great way to end out the year.

Cons:
  • OBJ 1 was smoother than OBJ 2, which felt a little grindy compared. Realistically, a small guerilla force shouldn't hit an entrenched and fortified enemy city.

Element Leader: Sergeant Turner.L

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Recruit Sylvanus.M
Sergeant Hartshock.P
Specialist Pearl.F
Private First Class McGill.A

Pros:
  • Troopers had fun with the concept of guerilla warfare
  • Constant communication between fireteams and the platoon made sure to get us where we needed on time
  • Mechanized segments for the squad were interesting to manage
Cons:
  • Friendly supplied LAVs could not be utilized to do their ability to not be able to climb hills
  • Freeing the prisoners near the end of the operation proved to be more difficult than it should
