Pros:
Tight and seamless convoy movement and reforming
Good dismounts performed by Gunslinger-4
Okay Communications between 1 and 2

Cons:
Earplugs
Close proximity to the contact/objective
Weird/Bad positions
Micro-Managed by 5
Potential BoB by Banshee-1
Setting up Convoy nets and shutting them down 100-150m out (should've kept it on Squad/Platoon net)

Pros:

  • Gun-1 FTLs absolutely crushed it the entire Operation. Coordination, bounding, comms, deconfliction, fire and maneuver, covering fire....all of it just absolutely on point from step-off to AAR. This led to excellent individual trooper discipline and execution of tactics by all of Gun-1 tonight.
  • Comms across the board were excellent, including Platoon net. Swift shift fires when called for, comms with Helios good as well.
  • Fun mission scope: appropriate contact levels for fighting Guerilla forces, a Civilian presence, and excellent choice of OBJ areas.
  • Platoon worked well together tonight. Well led by -6 and -5.

Cons:
  • Maybe a little more thought into DMP's. Need at minimum 100m before lane entrance or actual OBJ...unless deliberately pushing in hot for the element of surprise.
  • Contact level was noted as low by some troopers, but for mission scope as well as the effectiveness of the squad made it feel that way.
  • Squad was fired at by Buffalo as well as Banshee, but shift/lift fire calls were quickly adhered to.

Pros:
  • Lethbridge-Stewart.J from 3-7 joined us and had a great time learning how we do things in Arma.
  • Squad remained cohesive throughout the operation.
  • Squad acted effectively as the security element for Banshee, fending off multiple RPG teams
  • Squad perfectly executed a hasty assault on an enemy supply dump
  • We provided effective supporting fires during phase 2 assault on the town of Hamertin
  • Mackey and Nance did very well as team leads, they said they felt like they were given a good balance of direction and autonomy to do their tasks effectively
Cons:
  • Phase 1 assault saw Gunslinger-4 unable to provide good supporting fires from the SBF position due to terrain.
  • Dismount point on Phase 3 assault was missed by our LAV transport, exposing us to an RPG attack that killed Banshee-2, Gunslinger-5, and Gunslinger-4 Actual and Bravo.

Pros
  • Had an enjoyable time during the operation. Plenty of work for all elements and appropriate amount of contact.
  • Unit cohesion was excellent and maneuvering and adjusting to dynamic changes and situations was fluid. All elements supported each other well and accomplished individual taskings.
  • Gunslinger-5 took control of Banshee and Gun-4 elements as a secondary task force directing them to secure and destroy an enemy cache. Throughout the operation Gun-5's direction of armor and SPF elements was excellent allowing infantry to operate with near impunity without having to worry about being flanked.
  • Gunslinger-7 was able to reach and get Banshee and Gun-4 back into the fight after being tasked with a tertiary objective and sustaining multiple red tags.
  • Gunslinger-1 was invaluable as primary assault element. While short on elements Gun-1 was able to adjust to being reassigned multiple lanes which they cleared with fervor.
  • Gunslinger-4 did excellent providing security for Banshee elements and SBF on the OBS's. Only one Banshee was lost during a hasty assault at the end when a DMP was overshot however remaining squad was able to defend the surviving Banshee and continue assault on OBJ.
  • Helios performance was admirable throughout the operation. Route clearing was done well all while accepting additional taskings, stepping up and clearing a lane due to not having all Gun elements. During final objective Helios was able to reach a crippled Banshee element and keep them in the fight.
  • Buffalo-1 performed ISR and tasking well. Even with being stretched thin being the only helicopter they were able to step up and accomplish taskings as required.

Cons
  • Earplugs.
  • Map offers odd terrain. While it is not a small map by any means and has verticality it somehow feels cramped making for some awkward positioning of SBF, however they were able to adjust and make it work.
  • No ACE medical mod.
  • A few Blue on Blue instances but shift/lift fire was called quickly preventing further injuries or casualties.
  • Pub intentional friendly fire. Was dealt with rapidly by GM's.
  • Less personnel than desired.
  • GM didn't go and learn to speak Russian explicitly for RP purposes. Not upset just disappointed.
