Pros:
  • Had lots of fun
  • Helios/Combat Engineering Squad used correctly and well
  • Lots of stuff to blow up and build

Cons:
  • Would've liked to have a precise timeframe for when too blow up the demolitions on Obj Idaho
  • Obj Idaho was very small making demolitions a bit tough to set up considering trooper/platoon safety

Pros:
  • Squad worked well together, good comms and echoing of orders
  • Worked well with Gunslinger 4 relieving us of positions, having them cover us on clearing of bunkers
  • Clearing of bunkers went well. Took no casualties. Got a funny voice line from HVT when we were throwing a frag at him.
  • Worked well with helios to destroy enemy equipment

Cons:
  • Air assault in this terrain was awkward, LZ was in direct line of site of enemy sentry.
  • Setting demo on Idaho fence was a bold decision.
  • Lack of details on a plan for obj Idaho led to a bit of a cluster pushing in, but overall went pretty well considering.
  • Only casualty came from blue on blue clearing objective Texas.
  • Platoon never moved to APs for Texas, led to confusion on assault led to above blue on blue
  • Platoon comms left room for improvement. Did no know Gunslinger 1 had pushed into Texas.

Pros:
  • Cool concept of operation, and got to get a bit of flight time in.

Cons:
  • Had severe connection issues, unknown on the source though my wifi went down for 2 hours, so that may have been the issue or the server.
  • Not a lot of crew in terms of buffalo crews, also expected to take out any vehicles attempting to escape though we had no gun on our airframe as well as no gunner for the crew.

Pros:
  • Good noise and light discipline from the squad after we stepped off to the objective.
  • Team leads and troopers were great about finding work, getting good local security and establishing a roving patrol around the assigned sector of LZ security.
  • Movement through the tree line to the ORP without being spotted.
  • Squad was able to find work and helped to clear the top of the 1st Objective and set security to help 4 suppress the 2nd objective as 2nd and 3rd squad began there movements.
  • Good succession of command by SPC Keene keeping the Squad in the mission after Bravo and the SL went down to a friendly frag.
  • Great work by the buddy teams and FTLs on giving 3DS and fire commands.
  • Night time mission with limited equipment really stressed the infantry fundamentals.

Cons:
  • 42 minutes from mission start to stepping off from the LZ for the fight.
  • PLT wasn't able to reorganize properly at the ORP, and with one of the demo teams for the the fence line being spotted it caused the assault plans to fall apart without proper lane control from the briefing.
  • We could directly see where squads were being spawned and then engaged by said squads from roughly 500m at night.
  • Blue on Blue from friendly units despite multiple radio reports giving 1st squads intentions to leapfrog and clear an adjacent building, and an affirmative that we were in the building.

Pros:
  • Movement into initial SBF was good. We broke off from the platoon early to set up near waypoint 1.
  • Good discipline was maintained during leader's recon of the SBF, we remained undetected before initiation of assault.
  • Was able to field a fully manned weapons squad with two MG teams and an AT team.
  • Comms within the squad were excellent. Contact Reports, echoing of orders, direction of fires, etc.
  • Many public players within the squad for this op, they all were impressed with the way we operated.

Cons:
  • Long amount of downtime during step off from FOB due to there being only two transport helicopters
  • Failed to establish hasty TRPs for the gun teams during second phase
  • A bunch of AI got stuck on a ridgeline on the second objective, resulting in a bit of a turkey shoot
  • Late joiners were lost for a while before getting into action.
  • A solution for late joiners could be to have a person remain at spawn to direct them to where they are needed. This person should coordinate with leadership elements to get any late joiners into the squad group and gear for the role they are needed in.
