Promotion to First Sergeant

Staff Sergeant Andrew Groves and Sergeant First Class Ryan Webber have been promoted to the esteemed position of First Sergeant as of July 20th, 2024, for both Alpha and Bravo company, 2nd Battalion. Both will now fulfill critical roles in advising and supporting our enlisted personnel. Their leadership and commitment to upholding military traditions are invaluable. Congratulations to both First Sergeants!

We extend our congratulations to all 44 of the newly appointed and promoted members this week. Your dedication and hard work are the cornerstones of our success. Keep up the outstanding work!

Operation Sabrewolf

Operation Sabrewolf was a pivotal moment in the Vigilant Wolf campaign, following the successful retaking of Ida-Viru County by Charlie Company ACD (Squad), leading up to the critical assault on separatist strongholds near Narva. The operation's success furthered NATO's mission to stabilize the region and secure key logistical routes, demonstrating the 7th Cavalry Regiment's resilience and tactical expertise.

However, the victory was marred by the tragic execution of Estonian police officer Mart Kask by separatist forces. Despite efforts to rescue him, Kask's death on live television underscored the brutal realities of the conflict and the high human cost involved.

This somber event has galvanized NATO's resolve, with calls for justice and intensified efforts to eradicate remaining separatist threats. The global community has closely followed the developments in Estonia, with varied reactions from different regions. European outlets expressed concern and solidarity, while Russian media framed NATO's actions as aggressive provocations. U.S. networks highlighted the strategic importance of the region, and Asian broadcasters focused on the broader geopolitical implications and economic impacts.
