Pros:
  • Good coms with Raider flight
  • Excellent CAS strikes on target
  • Platoon movement was awesome given we had low numbers, we crushed that OBJ in an awesome time.
  • Felt good to get back into FAC
Cons:
  • AA net was a little much for Raider
  • Hard to do CSAR when pilots die or have to many wounds
  • Low numbers sadly.

Pros:
  • Got to do gun teams 2x MAAWS and 2x 60mm and considering the low turnout for the operation it worked pretty well. MAAWS destroyed 6 vehicles (Motorised/APC/IFV/MBTs) Was destroyed + a couple of enemy MG-nests.
  • Teams and platoon communication was on point
  • CTAB and updates on enemy forces were used pretty well tonight which helped a lot with coordination when it came to where the enemy was located, came from, and what the target was.
  • Medical was on point tonight, -7 and ATLAS was rapid and patched us up pretty quickly and well.
  • Considering we only had 1 maneuver squad, 3 gun teams, 1 ATLAS, and rotary assets we did a decent job with achieving all the objectives and fighting against 2+ companies worth of assets with an understrength platoon.
Cons:
  • Low turnout, which is sad for a good operation like this one.
  • Had to run back and forth for resupplies (3km of running).
  • Should have moved LZs closer to objectives if possible(probably not due to little cover) or done motorized or mechanized operations due to the vast open fields.
  • Some APCs and Motorised vehicles seemed to be soaking HEAT 75(Tandem) rounds ending up with having to shoot twice to disable them even though 1 round hitting is more than sufficient to take it out.

Pros:
  • Nets were good with brevity, structure and professionalism
  • Got to coordinate a combat search and rescue (CSAR)
  • Action packed and fun operation
  • ATLAS and 7 working together to make the low numbers work with good response times
Cons:
  • ATLAS-1 a bit stretched due to only 1 medical team. Dead on arrivals up
  • Some open flanks on the east during advance.

Pros:

  • Good communication and coordination within the team.
  • Overall great time for medics today lot to do.
  • Medical was good decent amount of reds and yellow tags.
  • Mission was well designed and entertaining given the number size of the platoon, thank you mission makers.
  • No black tags under care, for only one medical team pretty good.
  • Atlas got to kill lot of infantry and a BMP which was great.
  • CSAR for Raider and Grizzly was amazing. Good to see not that often we do these.
  • Platoon did great given turnout and ambush was executed great.
Cons:
  • Right flank of FOB OBJ wasn't cleared till way later towards end could of been bad for our CCP.
  • Low turnout for the platoon sad to see.

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Specialist Hamm.C "Hooker"
Chief Warrant Officer 2 Villmarsson.L

Pros:
  • Lots of fun from both Villmarsson.L and I.
  • Comms with MISFIT-5 were on-point.
  • Very good ATLAS work during their CSAR response when we were injured in unfortunate crash.
  • Excellent and comprehensive OPORD.
  • This mission was proof that I (we) need more stick time training on the MH-47... which I later did and was able to learn a lot about this helo.
  • ***Use of MH-47: When it's use is needed or desired, I highly recommend using it for insertion (instraction) for the bulk of our troopers and maybe for any potentially needed large scale bulk exfil. After insertion, we should condense down to medium birds (MH-60 Blackhawk) or little birds (Raven) for maximum effectiveness/speed/efficiency. Aircraft transitions worked perfectly this time and I'm sure it will be great going forward.
Cons:
  • Unfortunate engine damage (only orange- not red) taken during a firm landing (emphasize not hard or crash landing). After ATLAS team got on board and were working a patient, I began to RTB but had no power to take off. I could only get off the ground a foot or so. I then tried the Vietnam era Huey tactic of low run/ground run into ETL (clean air) but that didn't work. We were however able to repair the bird in the field and RTB successfully. (Note that this was concurrent to another unfortunate crash of GRIZZLY-2 in close proximity...so thank God ATLAS was there with their pro response.

Pros:
  • Everyone reported having a good time.
  • High level of professionalism and generally good presentation of squad/fireteam fundamentals.
  • Excellent CLS work.
  • Good level of violence on objectives.
  • OP was scaled back appropriately for the number of players we ended up having.
  • Some troopers reported a better time due to lower player count, citing it emphasizes good small unit tactics, professionalism and fundamentals.
  • Setting up an ambush was a very novel and welcome addition to the OP. Everyone was excited when we pushed out to begin setting up.
Cons:
  • The squad would've rather seen two smaller scale ambushes, though we understand technical limitations make planning ambushes from the MC POV very difficult.
  • Early fires during the ambush meant that the majority of our contacts were outside the effective range of our weapon systems.
  • Spacing collapsed in at one point, making the entire "platoon" an easy target. Thankfully the enemy did not action on this.
  • Some sub-optimal initial react to contact at the beginning of the OP.
  • We ended up taking 2x black tags due to an iffy squad-assault on a sub-objective. In hindsight, a more deliberate approach should have been used.
(If I am missing any troopers please PM me so I can add them to my list)
