OPERATION DARKSTAR
Sainte-Marie-du-Monte
7th Cavalry Expeditionary Force Vs 173rd Airborne & 505th Infantry Airborne Regiment

SPC.Noriega.D piloted our craft with the ease and precision of a man who had trained his whole life for this. Safely depositing his cargo just north of the AA Network. Love squads orders were to defend the eastern portion of the battleground and as we began our trek, we spotted a german transport barreling into the point. Despite their gusto Noreiga had won the race and we already had the boots on the ground to detonate it promptly. We cleared out the rest of its passengers and continued our spread East.

They had holed up on a fortified hill and we traded 150 meter shots while the occasional infantry trickled towards us via the hedgerows. PVT.Suplee.B and I spotted a surprisingly aggressive OP and cleared the troops in its presence. I declared my intentions to throw a grenade yet mistakenly pulled out my bandages instead. Thankfully PVT.Suplee had already taken the initiative and succesfully moved in to extinguish it with his shovel.

With some solid ground held CPL.Carmine.J led us towards the hill they'd dug their heels into and found an AT gun that I was fortunate enough to render shitted with my bazooka. Yet with this small victory came the new problem of a deep garrison they had snuck past us Northeast of the network. The task was ardous as we tried again and again to take it out. I managed to get close but my fear of missing rockets got the best of me. I repositioned closer for a better shot and was incapacitated by a kraut that lept out of the corn.

This blunder on my end definitely prolonged the threat and chaos caused by their presence as Allied body after body fell trying to undo its doing. The culmination of our efforts lead to the blue on blue on blue of a combined artillery strike, strafing run, and hand grenade all within a 15 second window. Despite the collateral we were eventually succesful in collapsing it before collapsing under the weight of our own enthusiasm.

We got word of enemies dismantling one of our eastern garrisons and I, being the closest rushed towards to defend. I was too late to save it and they bankrupted our precious radioshack like it was 2015. My late arrival was somehow still fortuitous as I witnessed enemy supplies parachute directly onto the remains of our freshly dismantled garrison. Blasting away at their hastily constructed knockoff of a spawn the transaction settled to an eye for an eye plus a dopamine refill to make up for the last garrison I should have Bazooka Joe'd.

I found another AT gun by the cemetary and managed with great headache to render it shitted as well. Following that I rushed an OP and messily, manically fought a german support. Victorious in moment only through the blessings of semiautomatic technology. Defeated a moment later when a karbine introduced itself to my C7.

Soon after all that mess, our offensive squads took over the hardpoint of Sainte-Marie. However the 173rd remained entrenched in the dense defenses their engineers had spent all match constructing. Furthermore we couldnt devote all the manpower needed to hold it as a Luchs barreled towards our backline. Responding to the threat of the tank with my trusty bazooka I was hit on arrival by its machine gunner. Crawling in the wheat beside my appeared reliable medic PFC.Riley who informed me that it only shot off a toe renaming me to PFC.E. He gave me the courage to get back up and share a moment of rocket richochets with the other Anti-Tanker there SSG.Hermes. Remembering that the Achilles heel of a Luchs resides in the taint we repositioned and performed upon it the One Thousand Years of Death jutso.

Back on the actual front the 173rd had repelled us and recaptured Sainte-Marie. Although unbeknownst to them Engineer SPC.Rillian.M remained hidden deep behind enemy lines. Keeping his head down and his chin up he began clearing out their defences to assist the inevitable future assault on the church. In his journey back to friendly lines he stealthily destroyed multiple ops, wires of barb and a garrison while locating and reporting on various pieces of valuable intel. In his journey to harbor SPC.Rillian.M back to safety Squad Lead CPL.Carmine.J spotted another forward garrison of theirs sitting plain as day in an open field. Calling on the patron saint of explosions once more (Dr.Barbenheimer?) I set my sights and Yuri Gagarin'd it into orbit.

With their operations structures no longer operational the call was made to push one more time with feeling. They began to cave as our infantry advanced East and West of the cobblestone road that our armor rumbled along. Covering from behind I cheered as CPL.Carmine.J and PVT.Suplee.B stomped out a sneaky garrison with OPs to follow. Like remoras to sharks, American infantry cleared the alleys and rubble of Germans and mines and our tanks firmly planted themselves on the point.

This victory seemed to have caught them off guard. They expected it would be over easy but we made them scramble. As our airborne forces leapfrogged ahead onto Hill 6 and sent the germans tumbling down with broken crown.

A succesful first match of 2024 for The 7th Cavalry's Expeditionary Forces. Made possible only through the hard work and planning of 2LT.Anderson.P and MAJ.Mix.C, and all the dedication and training from all of the tankers, reconners, artilleriers, and infantrees!

I know theres been an amount of delay from this post to my last and I will not promise that it won't happen again. I've been working on an additional spinoff? project to go along with these and hopefully by this evening there'll be links floating about in the discord channels. Please be gentle it's my first time.

Anyways thanks for listening to my long wind.
Love y'all

Apologies for the misinformation. Bullets are rarely friendly and doubly so in this case if we're to believe you
