I’m not sure if this is going to let me reply at this time, but I thought I’d take a moment on my work break to introduce myself and explain who I am and my lack of skill level.

Live has afforded me the opportunity to rejoin the gaming community after a two decade long absence due to life and being a responsible adult, so to say I am out of the loop on a lot of this stuff is an understatement. Christmas 2022 I picked up an Xbox series S just to play MSFS and see if I liked the flight sim genre. Last year I purchased a pc with an AMD 5800x, GeForce 3080i and 32mb ram along with a hotas, pedals and head tracking. I currently own both the F-16C and F/A-18C modules and trying to decide which one is better suited for me. All in I have about 100-150hrs of free flight, with a good 2/3rds in MSFS.

I work a job in the defense industry and that comes first. I work 3rd shift, Sunday night thru Friday mornings 0400Z to 1230Z with an hour or so commute each way, and a lot of mandatory overtime. It is what it is, this career has given me a huge upgrade in my lifestyle and I’m not giving up $50/hr with UAW union benefits 🤣

That’s pretty much the gist of my situation. Like I said I wanted to lay all this out so everyone knows what they’d be getting into. If it’s too much for you all to take on then by all means deny my request to join the ranks, no hard feelings.
