Pros:

-Infantry Gained the TOW hummv and because of its development we were able to engage armor (within our capability)
-Target Rich environment
-maximized our AT against structure, armor, and infantry

Cons:
-once again our numbers were very low and on average had 3 active infantry at any moment
-our infantry again waited an hour before being able to engage with mg or rifle (this effects our numbers)
-Still reliant on Saber nearly completely
-1 squad, at under man STR. again

SL Remarks:
-it would be in our interest to have access to both javelin missiles and TOW strikers to keep in line with the viking element while also adding a mk19 for a weapons squad
-Grant access to empty ammo boxes for both viking to load into their vehicle and for buffalo to fly as logistics instead of being reinserts only (AA is too strong for buffalo ISR) otherwise completely remove buffalo as a role as they are cut at the knees 2/3 of their basic roles

Element Callsign: Viking-5
Element Leader: Staff Sergeant Abate.L

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Staff Sergeant Abate.L

Pros:
  • Good initial recon from all assets allowed targets to be identified and main mass of armour contacts to be ascertained.
  • Planning adapted to spot reps.
  • Necessary vehicles recovered.
  • Despite overwhelming odds, objective achieved with only one SABRE and one VIKING squad.
  • Viking SIERRA pinnacle in supporting ground troops.
  • TOW humvee works as a perfect "middle ground" for engaging armour.
  • Effective MOUT work in the town of Rodopoli.
  • ATLAS support was on point being both on call and with troops in all aspects.
  • Defended FARP location against armour and mechanised contacts.
  • Good setup for next week with all vehicles ready for deployment from FARP in this sector.
Cons:
  • Adjustments needed in approaching these kind of sector operations. More caution and planning needed from an early stage. Reliance on early recon. Still learning in a platoon role.
  • Buffalo reinserts become tricky and almost unapproachable. Better thinking needed for its role and LZ management.
  • Troopers discussed having only Squad names on tracker rather than every individual shown.
  • The perhaps introduction of tow ropes for better vehicle management and recovery.
  • The perhaps introduction of ammo boxes for ATLAS use and support management.
  • Minor fortify structures for ATLAS use, such as sandbags and minor bunkers.
