+ Public Players

Pros:
  • High turnout allowed for all taskings to be well covered
  • Very few friendlies shot down (if any)
  • Lots of Red air. Kept us very busy right until the end.
  • Good Comms at start, tapered off to the end
  • The mission was picturesque, very cinematic.
  • Was able to coordinate and get public players slotted up and on freq. If we could have the frequencies also bosted in the briefing that would help smoothen out this process.
Cons:
  • Miss our AWACS/GCI
  • Red air spawned as large wave then not too much, overwhelmed our force initially
  • Start was a little organized but also disorganized, organized chaos.
  • Needed more slots for F18s and F16s. Overflow slots needed to allow pubbies and non signups to join.
  • Lots of air casualties, at least in Jury Flight, need to get better at defending.
  • Some preplanned waypoint inconsistencies, if possible would like a waypoint table to be able to refer to if missing. We're also able to get them from each other so more QOL than anything else.

If I missed you on this list please send a PM to Specialist MacMillan.M

Pros:
  • Target rich environment, kept us very busy.
  • Great in flight comms. Good coordination with other flights.
  • Mission was picturesque, very cinematic

Cons:
  • Communication is improving
  • Red air was shot down but not until after inflicting heavy losses on Jury flight.
  • Red air spawn was inconsistent, all at the start then not too much towards the end. If we can smooth out that spawn curve for more targets throughout the mission with a spike at the start to simulate the enemy responding to the new threat.
  • Locked weapons pylons prevented re-assignment of units for different roles that were required.
  • Missed our AWACS/GCI. Life was tough without them.

Pros:

  • Loved the weather, broken skies with the lighting, very cinematic and epic
  • Got good objective kills and helped JURY flight with A/A missiles I had
  • Good communications between flights, despite no live ATC and GCI.
  • SEAD was successful with given resources we had for GRAVY

Cons:
  • Slots were full, other 7cav and public players can't join the mission
  • A lot of red air in the mission, GRAVY flight wanted to help with engaged JURT with A/A, but loadouts were locked to SEAD, so couldn't adapt mission resources. SEAD was bottlenecked with CAP for awhile.
  • Would like perhaps the two SEAD groups (GRAVY, MISTY) to be merged so that attacks can be coordinated for large targets (SA-10s kept shooting down our HARMs)
  • Was lost on mission status at some point without a live GCI
  • Need to make waypoints consistent between flights so that communication can also be consistent (Etc. pushing to WP3)
  • Need to have an extra INGRESS point for missions. Only had WP0, HOMEPLATE, and SEAD waypoints.

Pros: The mission was challenging and for the most part and the big picture was well thought-out
Great weather Dynamics

Cons: Radio frequencies need to be reduced which are the Apaches the A10 and the Black Hawk could all be on the same radio Channel

CSAR Freq.so we can corporate And communicate without relaying through a 3RD party

Did not have safe airspace over objective one AH-64D lost to SU-27

More details in the mission planning map

No Named areas of Interest [ NAOI’s] on the map of the operational area For instance For quick reference 4 for command and control get flight leads to react quickly to a threat and direct forces to an area “Angry flight armored Convoy located in area of Tomahawk traveling north to south” This is not to replace bra calls

No phase [ PL] lines for the flights to report positions and progress

Pros:

  • Weather was a big +
  • SEAD was successful in the end and the goal was achieved
  • Communication between flights was very good despite everyone doing their part
Cons:
  • Only 4 slots for the F-16 meaning some Cav members had to switch to secondary aircraft to make room for pubs
  • Weird clump of Red Air at the start (around 9+) that took out nearly all of Misty due to lack of own A/A weapons or CAP escort.
  • Would like perhaps the two SEAD groups (GRAVY, MISTY) to be merged so that attacks can be coordinated for large targets (SA-10s kept shooting down our HARMs)
  • Was lost on mission status at some point without a live GCI
