In Ida-Viru County, Estonia, U.S. and NATO forces have established a Forward Operating Base (FOB) under constant threat from ethnic-Russian separatist militias.

The FOB, crucial for NATO's defense strategy in the region, is maintained through a Main Supply Route (MSR) secured within Estonia and supported by an air bridge from Finland, ensuring continuous logistical support and medevac capabilities. Despite ongoing insurgent attempts to disrupt operations, the strategic positioning of the FOB allows for effective command and control, stabilization efforts in the region, and serves as a critical deterrent against further escalations.

The 7th Cavalry has been tasked with removing all remaining threats in the county up to the final enemy stronghold blocking the road into the city of Narwa.
