BRAVO TROOP FTX
SITUATION:
The Island Of Saint Kapaulio off the coast of Kenya has long dealt with situations similar to what has been developing in Haiti. This has largely culminated into gang violence taking over large swathes of the community, and has devolved further into chaos as one of the larger gangs on the island has taken over an abandoned military compound after a series of tropical storms hit the region. This has upgraded this particular gang into a terrorist organization now with its own militia at its disposal. Their current activities largely involve the use of indiscriminate artillery and Mortar strikes into civilian populations. As Kenya has just sent 10,000 of their own police to deal with the situation in Haiti, they do not have the manpower available to handle this threat off their coast. A joint UN/IDAP/US effort has been established to accomplish the sole purpose of conducting Search and Rescue of multiple areas struck by these threats, and, if possible, to eliminate the source of these mortar and artillery strikes.
MISSION:
Bravo Troop is responsible for conducting Urban Search and Rescue of key towns and cities in Saint Kapaulio as well as assisting local first responders they come across. Their secondary tasking, using HUMINT provided from those they rescue, is to locate and destroy enemy mortar and artillery positions.
