For years, tensions have simmered between Syria and Lebanon, over differences in politics, and natural resource allocation. As the world transitions away from Oil, the lithium deposits have become increasingly attractive to Syria.
Last week, additional deposits were discovered in Lebanon, in addition to several rare mineral depositions. Hearing this Syria immediately began an offensive into Syria to gain control over all mineral deposits in the area. They have taken control over two major airfields, and have taken control of northern Lebanon. To further destabilize the region, Egypt and Iran have suddenly lent Syria aid in the form of several billion dollars in weaponry, vehicles, and fighter planes.
In response, NATO has deployed all available units currently deployed in Israel, in a ploy to repel the coalition forces.
