The Air and Ground Cavalry School is proud to announce that we will be conducting the Basic Fixed Wing Course. This course provides the foundations of Fixed-Wing aviation in the Arma 3 Area of Operations. This class will be in-game. NOTE: This course has been updated and modified slightly from its previous iterations, and will now be taught partly in-game to allow hands-on learning. It is not expected for the course to fill the entire 180 minutes but students will have the opportunity to practice the material in the latter part of the time.

- Taxi and parking
- Takeoff
- Basic Flight Maneuvering (BFM)
- Approaches and landings
- Bullseyes and their use
- SERE (Survive, Evade, Resist, Escape)
- Graduated Basic Land Navigation [BLN] (155A troopers exempt)
- Graduated Basic Radio Communication [BRCC] (155A troopers exempt)
- Graduated Ground School [GS] (Mandatory for all troopers regardless of MOS)
- No active negative action
- Pen and paper
- ArmA 3 installed with the CavPack installed and working
- Maximum of 10 students
- Alpha Company troopers of the Fixed-Wing Aviator In Training (155A) given priority slotting
