Pros
  • Fun
  • Good spotreps
  • Great FTLs
  • Good communications
  • Good crossloading
  • Good set pieces from the mission makers in creating close-in flanks, challenging to do on this open terrain
Cons
  • Wide open fields - Challenging 800m+ infantry engagements
  • Low Turnout
    • Low mutual support because of large area to cover with 2x squads
    • Thankfully mission makers and 6 adjusted the plan to make things more entertaining for attendees
  • I keyed up on the wrong net a few times
  • View distances on thermals low distance
  • Some issues with kits (outlined below)
  • Damaged Sierra
Kits
  • Grenadier doesn't get underslung GLs? - sounds like a glitch
    • Block 2 M320

Chief Warrant Officer 3 Spit.K
Sergeant Crowley.T
Specialist Apollo.R
Specialist Casey.W
Private First Class Shere.J
Private Lee.P

Sierra Crew:
Sergeant Lucander.P
Specialist Borenstein.B

Pros:
  • Succession of command, by SPC.Apollo, after SL disconnect was on point.
  • Few casualties within squad.
  • Good self aid and buddy checks observed.
  • Good operation overall.
  • Atlas' movement between defensive positions was great.
  • Great comms, movement, and fire control by FTLs.
Cons
  • Difficult to raise 5 sometimes. Made it hard to pass up ACE reports.
  • Lane boundaries should have been more appropriate to the ground. Instead of just N to S.
  • Sierra Command & Control(C2) was poor. Sierra acted mostly as an independent element from the squad. Resulting in poor positioning and fire/movement support for the squad. Forcing squad to egress several kilometers on foot.(Recommend Sierras be controlled directly by SLs, while 5 coordinates Repairs, Medical, and Sustainment. Given the rapid nature of a delaying action)
  • Sierra C2 caused extremely delayed and slowed movement between defensive positions.
  • During a hasty delaying action, Viking-5 needs to communicate with SLs for closer Sierra repairs.
  • Indirect fire is essential to a delaying action, in order to disrupt enemy advance and cover friendly movement rearward.

Pros:
Decent pace, even though it seemed slow. Overall good pace for a mech op (from the air)
Great comms with 5 and inter-flight.

Cons:
Slow-ish, not enough resupply needed (is a good thing for the ground folks).
Nothing else
