Army Achievement Medal Is Awarded To Alpha Company, 1st Battalion Corporal Matthew Dread For exceptional service to Alpha Company, 7th Cavalry Regiment during the month of January 2020. Corporal Matthew Dread has shown outstanding professionalism and leadership in Operations and by stepping up to conduct a section practice in the absence of the Section Leader. Corporal Matthew Dread conducted the section practice with little to no guidance and accomplished the Commanders Intent. His section practice was well thought out and planned in advance. His planning, attention to detail, and ability to support a wide variety of training in order to accommodate all experience levels within the section were performed excellently. Corporal Matthew Dread's dedication to duty brings great credit to himself, Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, and the 7th Cavalry Regiment. --- Bravo Company, 1st Battalion Corporal Harry Blake For meritorious service to 1-7 Battalion in support of the implementation of the revised ACE Medical System. Corporal Blake has been the vanguard for managing configuration change arising from the ACE medical rewrite. In liaison with troopers from 3/B/1-7 and S3 he has been instrumental in testing, adapting and implementing new medical settings and loadouts for the battalion. In addition, Corporal Blake has authored extensive change to the CLS Field Manual and Lesson Plan for S3 SOI - despite not formally being a member of SOI. Corporal Blake's determination to improve the quality of experience and immersion for all in 1st Battalion brings great credit to himself, 3/B/1-7 and the 7th Cavalry Regiment as a whole. --- Charlie Company, 1st Battalion Private First Class Joe Kelly Private First Class Joe Kelley of 1/1/C/1-7 is awareded Charlie Company Trooper of the Month of January 2020. Having joined the Regiment only recently, PFC Kelly has already shown great dedication to and understanding of the values of our unit. He displays this through active engagement in all aspects of the Cav, such as class and OP participation, regular activity on our public servers as well as exemplary performance in his primary billet. PFC Kelly therefore has the highghest respect of his peers and superiors and sets an example for all enlisted to look up to. His behavior reflects great credit upon himself, his unit and the Regiment as a whole. --- Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion Specialist Brennan Erickson Specialist Brennan Erickson is awarded Trooper of the month for January 2020. Specialist Brennan Erickson has answered the call for new Section Leaders within Charlie Company, 1st Platoon this month with opening up B/1/C/2-7. In addition to stepping up in combat leadership, he recently joined two secondary billets to help contribute to the tremendous member growth Charlie Company has been receiving. Specialist Brennan Erickson put together a well organized and creative Campaign that many members have had fun in, along with giving feedback on the BICT course that will be unveiled in Feb. Specialist Brennan Erickson's actions are in keeping with the highest traditions of the military forces of the United States and reflect great credit upon himself and the 7th Cavalry Regiment. --- Echo Company, 2nd Battalion Specialist Raymond Van Alstine For meritorious service to Echo Company, Second Battalion, Seventh Cavalry Regiment. Specialist Van Alstine has, over the month of January, exhibited excellent dedication and devotion to duty which sets the bar high for his peers. His positive, morale-boosting attitude coupled with his ability to bring troopers together for a common goal are excellent traits in an upcoming leader. Being a new member of S1 Uniforms he has rapidly developed to become an extremely effective clerk. Since the first week of 2020 he has completed an impressive (and unequaled 131 uniforms with a record 71 being completed in one week. This dedication to the department bring great credit to himself, the S1 Department and the 7th Cavalry Regiment as a whole. --- S2 Department Corporal Michael Mapstone For exceptional performance of his duties while serving in S2 Military Intelligence in January of 2020. Corporal Michael Mapstone has consistently made sure that every investigation that has crossed his desk has been completed in a thorough and timely manner, maintaining accuracy and enhancing the effectiveness of the S2 department. His devotion to duty reflects greatly upon himself, the S2 Military intelligence and Security Operations Department, and the 7th Cavalry as a whole. Congratulations!
