Share some of your favorite reads, or what you are currently reading! Any suggestions?

I am currently reading "Bourbon: A History of the American Spirit." by Dane Huckelbridge
    ISBN 978-0-06-224139-9

Pretty good read about the beginnings of Bourbon and its history, but also the role it played IN history itself, very interesting!

"Thousands are dead. Thrown into crisis, they are alone with no help coming. Will the military submit to the civilian mayor and city council? Who has done this to them and why? Meanwhile, alien creatures begin to attack, and the people begin to discover that not everything, or everyone, is the same as they were before Awakening Day.
Are the humans to be lab rats? Slaves? Or is there some other, terrible purpose… or a greater destiny?
Set in the near future, Accipiter War is the first in a planned series of five books in the Fort Brazos Saga by Father/Son authors Patrick & Blake Seaman. It emphasizes hope and the endurance of the human spirit in the face of unthinkable tragedy."

Soldier X, I read that book maybe 10 years ago. Amazing story, rather shorter book (250-300) pages. About a WW2 Russian Soldier who gets injured in battle, pretends to be a German soldier when his position is overran. And basically is in a German hospital trying to conceal his identity this whole time, then falls in love with a German nurse.

I'm on book 5 of the Grey man series by matt greeney

Also reading the winter world series by ag riddle

For standalone red metal by Matt greeny is a great modern grand war series. For classic grand war you have red Phoenix written and set in the 80s by the guy who helped Tom Clancy write red storm rising which is another excellent war book

I read 1 to 2 books a week and have a physical library and audiobook/kindle library each hundreds of books deep

Forever war is an astoundly good book. It's won tons of awards since the 70s when it was written, and the old man's war series is great, the first 2 and last 2 books of it are the best by far
