Attention Brothers, As you all know, or if you didn't you do now, the official 7th Cavalry Memorial Day is the 22nd of August. I have taken the initiative to build, plan, and execute a memorial ceremony for all of us to remember our fallen and to not let their memories fade. The purpose is to help us remember who we are, and what it is meant to be a brother in the 7th Cavalry, to remember our values, and what it means to stand to them and not let hate, anger, or remorse break our bond as brothers. It is to help us raise together, and drink together as stories are told, bonds are built, and tears are shed in both sadness and joy. The weight of our shield we carry, is not for flash or show, it comes with a standard, a meaning, and a mission. Please join me and others on the 23rd of August, at 2330Z to celebrate our fallen and those who have exceeded their values and become walking examples of what it means to be a Cavalry Trooper, a brother to all creeds and origins, and a bulwark of our standards for those in the ranks to follow and make others their best selves.
