Element Callsign: Atlas-2
Element Leader: Master Sergeant Maco.D

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Major Stewart.B
Sergeant Goel.B

Pro:
  • We had very good company in Atlas 2 with Stewart.B and Goel.B had their guitars to keep the mood on top.
  • My guys were quick on top of medical giving reports and status of injured.
  • Good amount of surgery even though it was sent to Atlas one due to Atlas 2 had no surgeon due to numbers at the start of Operation.
  • Had a CSAR to do with searching for Hog-1 that was shot down which was a nice switch up. Though they was not injured so was more of a find and escort back to PLT HQ

Con:
  • Took a hour to get into the field.
  • jump was horrible took 3 goes to jump.
  • Communication during the flight to Jump point
  • Communication during the flight
  • People using Atlas Slots when shadowing other assets. Even in a one life Op those slots are vital to a operation.
  • Had little to no medical till the last 30 mins of the operation
  • Feels like alot of injuries were not being passed up the chain which allowed alot of black tags from being made aware from word of mouth
  • Even though everybody had to same radio leadership succession did not happen what so ever. Leading to not being able to find quite alot of injuried people.
  • Movement within the platoon was disorganised with a lot of movements which resulted in a lot of squad members being left solo and alone.

Pros:
  • Great Op! Good concept, nice and simple but with plenty of challenge and scope
  • Good balancing by Zeus's throughout
  • Great response and work done by both Sutodoreh.W and then Villmarsson.L stepping in last minute. Efficient controls and good accuracy throghout.
Cons:
  • TFAR failing/complications at several points led to confused movement orders at the start and a loss of cohesion
  • Would have benefitted from some more boundaries/planning lines on AOI 1 - specifically for easy reference
  • At start of AOI 2 we lost balance between M1 and M2 which could have resulted in a worse outcome
  • Throughout we needed more back and forth for battle tracking of "Units are crossing Phase Line X" etc
  • EDIT: Also as FAC i would have prefffered to had a seeperate line of communication with 6 so im not talking directly to SLs myself (but appreciate with Comms issues today that would not have been workable) - We are down on CEOI as using Plt HQ which im tracking as 54 for MISFIT in this case but the whole Plt seemed to be using it as their Plt Comms

Pro:
  • Got to blow up a lot of things
  • Good succession of command inside the squad
  • Chaotic
  • Great break contact within fire team
  • AOI 1 was great and fun
  • All team members survived
  • Great team work

Con:
  • Not as much coordination, felt more like a WFW
  • Needs more CQB pracitce
  • Too much chatter
  • Too chaotic for an official and 1 life op
  • Moved from cover for less cover towards the end
  • Resupply should have been pre-planned
  • AOI 2 lost momentum because squads got broken up
  • A lot of pulling back and forth
  • A lot of sitting around
  • TFAR direct comms growing pains

Pros:

  • No black tags!
  • Had a ton of fun! Good saturation in the AO.
  • Good individual discipline and buddy aid.
  • Good communication between the section and following orders.
  • Overall very well done and I would fight beside these lads anyday!

Cons:
  • River crossing could have been done better to ensure we had good security for all the elements to cross.
  • Misfit 4 jumped the gun on our L-Shaped ambush of the counter-attack, they engaged the vehicles outside of our kill box without allowing them to come right into our kill zone/right up to us.

Element Callsign: MISFIT-5
Element Leader: Corporal Davis.D

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Pro:
  • Very intense operation, loved the constant feeling of contact, wasn't too overwhelming or underwhelming
  • Thoroughly enjoy 1 life scenarios
  • Choas did a fantastic job not creating blue on blue to danger close calls
  • The Jump master brief was short, sweet, and to the point, and is always a great time when jumping
  • All elements showed perseverance and adapted to the current circumstances of their ACE Reports
  • Cool little intro to the operation

Con:
  • TFAR growing pains as we are trying to get adjusted to the switch
  • Combat coms weren't utilized creating missed jumps, and confusion of orders received
  • Atlas trying to recover a shot-down HOG pilot during a heavy engagement was not ideal
  • Situational awareness was sometimes lost as some sections were leaving others behind and not watching sectors
  • Some troopers treated this as if it was a non-official cav setting
  • slotting issues arose
  • Multiple black tags due to poor position or unable to treat in such heavy firefight

  • TFAR growing pains.
  • Static line drop with multiple passes, with the final pass being off target.

Pros:
Great lower level initiative
Excellent team members

Cons:
Poor higher level execution it seemed. A lot of go go go, not a lot of re-organization and consolidation to help with balance and FLOT
CEOI not being followed
