Pro:
Was really enjoyed overall by Team
Alot of medical work
Many medical cases ranging from yellows to reds
Hot LZ at start of op
Really good inter team comms
Contact reports given by Team members
Amazing medical preformed by team members
I Saved Zander with my body from a frag
Large improvement in first aid
Enjoyed the map
Good amount of CCP's used
Atlas 1 was left mostly interpendent by 7 which was nice for freedom of movement

Con:
One trooper was slightly late
Settings were wrong for surgery which resulted in a vic being spawned which ruined the feeling of the airborne op
SL went down at start of op in the LZ from heavy HE
A few black tags on coming to some squads which was out of our hand
Lose of perms from members on death
Ctab stopped working halfway which resulted in not seeing some of the platoon

Me, myself, and I.

Pro:
Fantastic mission
Hard fights throughout- felt like a struggle
Great Squad Leadership- good squad to squad comms
Some good communication at times interplatoon, and intraplatoon
Acre seemed RELATIVELY NICE today
Working with Buffalo was awesome- both 1 and 2 were fantastic.

Con:
Communications definitely broke down at some point- there was a hefty loss of leadership in the second half
Some technical issues in the beginning with 6, but once it got fixed it was fine
there were some kit issues; felt like the armor level was a bit lower than normal? but not sure; also could've just been unlucky
Definitely need to get used to airframe callsigns, will use as a point of improve
got 2 killed, my bad. I shall remember and improve basis that

Pro:
Great Mission
Troopers had a good time
Learned a lot

Con:
Frame issues
Comparatively little contact
Ctab stopped working early in mission making geographic coordination with the platoon difficult.
OP became very chaotic at the end

Pros:
  • Excellent attendance
  • New, unfamiliar map was intriguing
  • Fun and challenging mission - we own the night
  • Excellent use of all air assets - a credit to the mission planning and execution by Infidel
  • No nightmare red air or OP AAA
  • Pre-staging of re-supply was smart
  • Good aviation comms and coordination
Cons:
  • No exfil by chopper at endex

Pros:
  • Detailed OPORD -> Mission made sense and wasn't just "go here kill this"
  • Fantastic comms with Misfit-5, that's how coordination should go every time!
  • We were always busy between inserts / resupplies. Stick time is always good time
  • Night time was fun and presented a good challenge. Night + NVGs + trees + very tight LZs = good challenge
  • No overpowered or random AA
  • Good aviation comms between the birds
Cons:
  • No exfil by chopper at endex
  • Infil from aviation standpoint was loose and we ended up with a Bison landing alone and not able to defend itself. Should have stayed on station to provide orbit coverage
  • Some Brevity / Radio overstep issues
  • Frames on the initial LZ. Went from 40+ to 8-11
  • Not a Con, but something to think about would be the addition of FRIES if we know it's a heavy foliage map. Wasn't ideal for the initial insert, but it would have been helpful option for additional LZs as the mission progressed.

Pro:
  • A good amount of medical across the board.
  • Excellent responsiveness from Zeus.
  • We got to practice establishing and breaking down CCPs.
  • The air assault was fun.

Conns:
  • Surgical permissions were tied to vehicles and facilities. We initially had no vehicles or facilities.
  • Security by our team was astoundingly lackluster, leading to us being MASCAS'ed inside a CCP.
  • One trooper from a Misfit team reported being entirely ignored by the medics inside the CCP. Unsure how this occurred, but something we are going to look into moving forward.
  • Blue-on-Blue incident. We were positioned behind Misfit-3 per instructions from platoon leadership and ended up being sandwiched between them and contact we were never informed of. One trooper in the Misfit squad ended up shooting the team lead. Unfortunate but understandable, given our apparent positioning.

Pro:
  • Overall had fun
  • New terrain
  • Large scale op, multiple objectives
  • Good amount of contact, never a dull moment
  • Great fireteam coordination, squad kept their cool under pressure, even when experiencing a MASCAS event
  • Excellent work by Zeus
Conns:
  • Kits didn't have armor, which resulted in a lot of casualties
  • Did feel at times that squads held positions for too long, lost a lot of momentum, possibly should've left casualties with atlas and pushed on.
  • need to echo orders from the SL more
  • Tried to get a stitch from atlas at PL 1, but was either ignored or not heard by medics until I said, "F*#! it, i dont need a stitch that bad im going back to my squad".
  • At the final objective, we took up north security on the LZ while the rest of the platoon was inserting, which after leaders brief we took contact from the north west. We effectively engaged the contacts, acting as a screening force while other platoon elements bypassed us on the right towards the objective, however the platoon left us behind while in contact instead of moving to eliminate the contact that was engaging us. At one point, another element was crossing our fire, which forced us to lift fire to avoid BLUE on BLUE, which gave the enemy the opportunity to attack us, resulting in a MASCAS event while the rest of the platoon continued to push forward and leave us engaged.

    • Keeps our 3 second drop rule in our heads
  • Mission Accomplished?

Cons:
  • Fratricide
    • ATLAS element crossing into firing lane/enemy positions
  • AI Difficulty
    • AI overwhelming skill led to many unwinnable firefights
  • Planning
    • Plans were made and disregarded
    • Top-Level adaptation lacking
  • Succession
    • Was personally completely stepped on when taking control of platoon
    • Disrespect was awarded praise
