7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:
Retired Cav Members/ Non Members:
  • Expendable_Joe
Pros
  • Lots of fun! Everyone had high spirits.
  • New members performed with exceptional skill and professionalism.
  • No black tags while in treatment. What we strive for.
  • New kits were well equipped, but we do need to remember to grab radios (this is intentional to avoid ACRE issues). A quick reminder could be communicated at the beginning of the ops to the team so no one is left behind.
Cons:
  • Not enough CCP use. They were set up, just not often utilized, and we often found ourselves "chasing" casualties. Using a CCP makes it easier to track casualties when they and the team treating them are all in one position, especially when defending a stationary position.
  • We witnessed blue on blue. PID is essential, especially when dealing with downed pilots.
  • Orders should be echoed so that everyone is informed; patients and team members alike.
  • Radio issues are frustrating. It affected more than just Atlas today.

Pros:
  • Solid leadership from FTLs
  • Appreciate the hard work to produce a operation in a quick turn around.
  • Fast ACE reports.
  • Good fun had by all. Cracking bunch in the squad.
  • Fantastic turnout. 3 full squads and 2 full ATLAS squads. Multiple air assets.
  • Good initiative for hasty operation.
  • Stratis allowed for brilliant frames and performance.
  • Close and gritty environment.
  • Top work with the spotreps.
Cons:
  • No full exfil via choppers.
  • Late set off realistically meant for 1 hour of action in a 2 hour operation.
  • ACRE issues.
  • Overall movement and enemy engagements felt chaotic and cluttered.
  • Backblast management.
  • Breakdown in progress and mission understanding.
  • Slow pacing.
  • All contact, apart from compound clear, was at 500m+.

Pros:
  • Atlas-1 felt effective.
  • Everyone had fun.
  • Everyone followed orders amazingly
  • Always nice to chill with cool guys
Cons:
  • Major long range radio issues
  • Blue on blue on that downed pilot, even when told not to shoot
  • Not much to do as medics, but that comes with the MOS

Pros:

  • Turn out was amazing, people stayed even though there were some initial set-up bumps
  • Infidel was a wizard with the radios
  • I was allowed to give PSG a shot again, thank you so much.
  • There were some public players that hopped into the fun, always awesome to see
  • Buffalo did great with the resupply run and putting it exactly where we needed it
Cons:
  • ACRE was being extremely difficult for myself and a few others
  • CTAB crashed me twice, probably an issue on my end but made the android work

Pros:
  • Generally the mission was fun, dynamic and challenging until the red air got involved.
Cons:
  • As discussed red air needs to come with an AWACS Warning Example: "Warning all air assets red air incoming ETA 2 mikes, 2 times MIG-29S, from the North West, all rotary assets are grounded until the all clear."
  • Furthermore if one wave of red air had already been dealt with there should be some time before a follow-up attack.

Pros:
  • Overall fun op
  • Nice to play on a good ole map
  • Good comms and coordination between other air assets as well as Infidel and Atlas
  • Good attendance; filled two Blackhawks for initial insert; could’ve used additional airframe
  • Mission controller(s) showed good judgement and ability to adapt on the fly in selecting new map when we realized the mod changes made the mission file unplayable
Cons:
  • Initial insert LZ was very short distance from base; very brief flying time
  • Resupply crates were not pre-staged at base; had to be spawned in by Zeus
  • No exfil by chopper back to base at endex

Pros:
  • Strong start at Infil
  • good team cohesion
  • Good Fireteam leadership
Cons:
  • Changed from SBF element to being part of the assault, resulted in my teams not having necessary equipment
  • Overall disorganization/chaos
  • spacing between elements was bad, squads literally on top of each other at times
  • resupply was late, brought wrong ammo types
  • movements felt sloppy, (my squad) a few cav members not listening to directions or staying with their squad
  • Side chat
  • not enough contact/too many elements for such a small obj
  • ACRE Comms issues

Element Callsign: Buffalo-1

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Corporal Boyd.M

Pros:
  • Buffalo Flight worked extremely well together. And despite numerous issues, we had a lot of fun.
  • On our second wave insert, I believe it was Abate.L team (could be wrong) but whoever they were provided EXCELLENT 360 security.
  • Good autorotation by Boyd.M after we were hit by Red Air and lost main engines. Aircraft not catastrophically damaged, surviving crew able to get repairs underway quickly and a with great help from Raider-1 crew.
  • Good comms and coordination between other air assets as well as Infidel and Atlas At times, I personally had issues with one of my joystick PTT switch which interfered with my comms with Infidel (LR12)
  • Good attendance. So many troopers to transport, we overextended our 2 transport helos.
  • Definitely more birds are preferable almost always! At least have them available even if we maybe use them. Frequently we will consolidate and fully crew birds if they aren't needed. Had to do two waves of inserts but they were very quick due mission distance and map size.
  • Buffalo Flight was very busy pretty much the whole time and we exchanged roles and PC and CP and I also manned the CC door gun.
Cons:
  • Disorganization/Last minute prep/No OPORD/throw-together OP. I know we didn't really have an option, but it's still a total con. In the end we made it work but it was messy. No detailed marking of the map in terms of strategy i.e. No Axis/Line of advance(s) were marked which is problematic and not helpful at all.
  • Late start probably due to the previous con comment.
  • Totally agree with the AWACKS warning comment. In any modern conflict, they would be discovered earlier and info relayed to our fighters for quicker intercept. We really do need to come up with something on this issue, Red Air can be fun but it is the ultimate helicopter killer.... from seemingly anywhere and at long ranges.....especially on a map this size.
  • Obviously ACRE issues which sucked, but we managed.
  • This map size doesn't seem as epic as we need for our most populous WW public event. Enroute flight time was very brief.
  • Resupply crates were needed at the outset of the op.
  • I'm not a fixed flyboy, but seems the F-35 had issues with G-Lock.
  • No exfil at endex. We should always RTB back to base---> Going home should be considered to be the controlling and ultimate mission success. AARs should occur safely back home at base.
