  • Robihunn
  • DISCH RCT Papa.A

Pros:
  • Good movement and coms within the squad
  • Good coms with BANDIT-6 and 5 for SITREPS and updating the battlefield
  • Confirmed destroying 3 waves of Russian armor units and 20 plus enemy infantry

Cons:
  • No real cons other than needing more AT for incoming QRF
  • Adding a special loadout for LONGSHOT so we don't have to build an entire kit on the fly

Pros:
  • Good comms on medical
  • Good action
  • Killed two helicopters
  • Godfather was a beast helping with perms

Cons:
  • Low attendance of medical personnel
  • Platoon movement scattered
  • Platoon net was a complete mess

Pros:
  • Lots of fun enjoying the chaos! Everyone enjoyed the operation across the board!
  • Several armor kills, definitely a pro considering the understrength nature of our squad.
  • I think everyone in our squad shot down at least one red air asset, another pro for the squad!
  • An excellent succession of command when actual and 2IC went down.
  • Fire commands and TRPs were dished out excellently from FTLs and received well by the individual squad members.
Cons:
  • Everyone noted that IDF sucks; it was very accurate from the get-go.
  • One trooper noted a lot of lag, possibly due to the number of assets or IDF.
  • Lots of "ring around the rosy" instructions just before Endex leading to some frustration in the squad.
  • Bandit-1's initial push into the town was subpar. Many casualties and the loss of 1IC and 2IC lead to some delay in breaking contact.
  • IR usage (strobe and chem lights) continued after NODs were found on the enemy and IR discipline was called by -6.
  • Platoon Comms was a mess tonight. Lots of talking over one another, responses from incorrect callsigns, and a lack of "break", "wait" and "wait out" calls.

COMBAT AFTER ACTION REPORT

Element Callsign: Bandit-5
Pros:
  • Narramoor was insanely patient and kind with me learning the role
  • Awesome communication with Buffalo for resupply
  • Long shot was super responsive on the platoon net and identifying enemy threats
  • I was able to run to every squad leader a few times and they were super responsive with ace reports and understood me asking for them
  • Buffalo did a great job anticipating resupply requests and went above and beyond
  • White boards!!!
  • I heard SLs calling out threats as they were called over the net to their squads, super awesome situational awareness

Cons:
  • I made a mess of the platoon comms
  • 5 needs a vehicle, I ran on foot a lot of places and felt like I could’ve been way more effective with even an ATV
  • Thoughts on using logistics channel for ACE reports? And the 5 calling SLs up to the Atlas net and having them report over that? It would’ve cleared some of Platoon net.
  • 5 needs to spend time manning prepackaged drops based on the ammo and kit set outs of the platoon. It should be made in conjunction with Buffalo in a "push-pack" type of format so you can call to Buffalo: Need one of push-pack A (Medical) 2 of B (Anti tank, just missiles and launchers) etc.

  • Thank you everyone for being patient with me tonight!!

Pros:
  • Challenging environment.
  • Fun overall scope of mission.
  • Well executed movement from platoon and support assets.
  • Seamless succession of command.
  • Good MOUT work and building clearing.
  • Effective use of force multipliers and trooper equipment.
  • Fantastic reinserts from buffalo.
  • Operation wide stepping up into leadership.
  • Top work from longshot in softening enemy positions.
  • Opportunity to utilise fortify tool.
Cons:
  • No directly passed down recon reports.
  • Disappointing ending to the overall operation.
  • Some enemy spawns were very close to our perimeter.
  • AI favouring use of 40mm. Utilised in a rapid fire way.
  • Difficulty factor became overwhelming at times.
  • Due to time constraints the defence plan was left untouched and missed out on utilsing ATLAS 3.
  • Endex on major reinsert.
200 down, onto the next. Thank you all for making this the place it is.

COMBAT AFTER ACTION REPORT

Element Callsign: Bandit-3
Element Leader: Corporal Phillips.B

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Pros:
  • Contact
    • Consistent pressure is nice
  • Inner-Squad Communication & Battle Drills & Succession
    • Having a squad of bandit made all of these superb
  • Longshot
    • Longshot used in the proper way
    • Critical to the survivability in the town
  • Mission Accomplished?

Cons:
  • IDF
    • Complete wipe of the squad (and most of the platoon) and nothing that could've been done to avoid it
  • Overwhelming Odds
    • Tempo off that saw platoons of armor throwing themselves into an understrength motorized Bandit PL
    • Vehicles given useless against all but infantry
  • Lack of ISR
    • Entire enemy fortifications not communicated on map/tracker/etc.
  • ORP
    • Too close for a P2P operation
    • Even still, a BMD ambushing the platoon at the ORP with little ability or equipment to react is not fun
  • 25 Bandit-3 Dead
    • Indicative of the above
  • Endex
    • Weak & abrupt end
