Pros:
  • Excellent reconnaissance from Viking Elements
  • Good blocking position by Sabre and Viking
  • Rapid Medical Response from Atlas
  • Aviation Elements kept the airspace relatively clear and did their best to prevent the frontline from failing
Cons:
  • Scope was very low intensity and hard to have guys doing their job for an ample amount of time
  • Framerate started dying at the halfway marker
  • Low intensity op was a rough challenge on TacR

Pro:
  • Always super fun hanging out with everyone.
  • Specialist Goel.B volunteered for 2IC, gaining experience in a live fire environment.
  • Towards the end, we had a good "ramp up," with nearly all of our casualties occurring in the last ~30 or so minutes.
  • We had a funny moment where we "chemically restrained" an uncooperative HVT after capture.

Con:
  • Slow start.
  • Strykers, while fantastic for carrying casualties and defending the teams while working, must be assigned as "medical vehicles" via a Zeus module. That did not happen until we were actively moving away from contact with a casualty in the back being worked on.

Remarks:
One medic said, "nothing was happening until everything happened." That sums it up nicely. Pacing for medical teams during OPs is difficult due to the nature of our job. Though we had a good team today, and the casualties we received were excellent sports and happy to have our help, it would've been nice to have a little more work through the OP. In the end, everyone in Atlas-2 reported enjoying themselves!

Pros:

  • Solid air-to-air victories. Airspace was kept relatively clear most of the time.
  • Being a flight of four allowed us to respond to situations dynamically.
Cons:
  • Framerate issues for most of the section.
  • A lot of ejections tonight.

Pros:
  • Operation performed in a public environment.
  • High spirits and fun throughout.
  • A brilliant demo of cross company operations.
  • Got to utilise explosives.
  • Good use of formations.
  • Tight squad formations throughout. Squad tactics on point.
  • Glorious OPORD.
  • Good showing and demonstration of force from air assets.
  • Fast re-mounting into SIERRA.
Cons:
  • Technical issues
    • Battleeye drops
    • ARMA crashes
    • ACRE Issues
    • Server Issues
    • Disconnects overall
    • Frames
  • Delay to mission start due to server issues.
  • Bus explosion out of nowhere once stopped caused black casualty.
  • Win/Loss conditions unclear.
  • Slow reinserts.
  • Faster call needed on redlight once rubber banding clocked.
  • No map ACRE reset option.

Pro:
Goood radio comms with Viking 5/6 and Atlas 1/2
Injures started to ramp up near the end which was nice.
Always good to see the whole troop in the field

Con:
Medical Boxes at base were basic boxes which did not have all the equipment medics used.
Very late start.
As much as its nice to have a large attendance having players more than 60 makes servers very uneasy and prone to crashes.
Medic Vics did not have the med perms on the vics to allow surgery
Possible acre issues some transmissions not being received by some but for others

Pro(s)
Good radio comms although net was crowded
Always fun to have combined arms in a public op
Although slow start and long red light players stayed largely patient and understanding
Lots of CSARs almost too many to keep up with

Con(s)
Late start / server issues
Lost a large amount of aviation elements some to midair collisions some to enemy engagements but far too many.
HVT and Civs were troublesome to load / unload and disarm for some reason?
Someone loaded up a civilian with lorazepam which was hilarious but odd?

Pros:
  • Excellent and well-thought-out mission design. Loved how the mission evolved; good flow, good pace, and lots to do (from aviation perspective).
  • JTAC was on point. Excellent comms despite crazy number of air assets to juggle.
  • Good looking map; varied terrain---nice change from typical.
Cons:
  • One pilot reported view distance settings made ISR challenging.
  • Server performance degraded during last 45 minutes or so; dropping frames.
  • Appropriate resupply boxes were not pre-staged at beginning of mission, ideally near Bison/Buffalo staging area.

7th Cavalry Personnel Within Element:

Pros:
-interdiction was a highlight for the whole squad, especially for our newest member. He found it the best moment with his time in the cav so far
-coordination was solid and smooth between those who we interacted with

Cons:
-
periodic frame issues
-a slow start with the technical issues
-as the heavy weapons squad, loading mission specific equipment may take time in the beginning. Some of the equipment wasn’t drawing for us (.50 cal, 40mm, Javelin rounds)so we worked with what we could get. Not sure why we couldn’t draw that equipment however.

Pros:
  • Held Security
  • LACE report was given, and in a proper manner
  • Decent action agasint 2 PC, an 2 Tank at the end of the op
  • Hastily plan at end was executed without large incident
  • deliberate plan to interdict was intricate and actually completed
  • "Went well for us (Charlie boys in a tank)"

Cons:
  • Red chain
  • Large amount of time doing nothing
  • 1 hour before we actually kicked off mission
  • no resupply intent when in a mechanized operation
  • Had a comms issue about being told to speak on a local radio when we can only transmit upwards then down to the unit on other channel
  • Saber 2 got killed by, Arma?
  • Over extension on second part of op lead to poor planning
  • We took mechanized and armor into mountains against infantry without the suggestion to bomb them while cordoning them
