[COLOR=null]The renewal of trade discussions between the United States and Iran have been progressing smoothly and the political powers of both nations are satisfied with new terms that have fundamentally opened up Iran to the world for the first time since the 1980s. However\, many of the Iranian people are not sold on this re-opening and require more convincing from the United States which has led to a face to face campaign conducted by the current Under Secretary of Economic Growth Francis Conway who has been touring the nation for the past month to meet with local buisness owners and sell them on this new trade deal. This campaign has been mostly uneventful.[/COLOR]

However\, while on their way to the Customs Area in the city of Khorramshahr\, Conway's convoy consisting of both secret service and U.S. military personel came under assault from religious extremists\, believed to be part of a local Revolutionary Guard group known as 'Al-Nazmiya'. This attack led to the capture of Conway who is now assumed to be held in the Customs Area which came under the control of 'Al-Nazmiya' following the assault of the Under Secretary's convoy.

An operation to rescue the Under Secretary has been approved by the President of the United States and tacitly supported by the Iranian Supreme Leader with the 7th Cavalry being selected to undertake said operation. This operation will be broken down into two phases\, PASTURE RED and PASTURE GREEN. RED will be a scouting phase in which 2/B/1-7 in a dismounted scout configuration and the Battalion Sniper Squad will conduct reconnaissance of the Customs Area and the surrounding North District.
