2/C/1-7CAV is conducting a routine security patrol around COP Brynhildr. HUMINT reports a strong IDF presence and a possible T-55 armor platoon being cached in the industrial sectors N and NW of the COP. CAS unavailable due to a TIC 15km NW. Misfit Platoon has just been ambushed by close range IDF and close range insurgent fighters. After surviving the initial engagement\, the remnants of the platoon must figure out what to do next.

Mission: Reconsolidate\, report\, engage\, and destroy.

Execution: 4/2/C/1-7 in reserve at COP. Last traffic from Misfit-1 ~15mins ago before attack\, ACE\, GREEN. No radio traffic since. Last traffic from Misfit-2 and Misfit-3 ~5mins ago\, TIC. No ACE yet. Last traffic from Misfit-6 ~15mins ago before attack\, SITREP\, investigate NW Industrial Zone OBJ ALPHA and NE Industrial Zone OBJ BRAVO for possible mortar cache based on HUMINT. No radio traffic since attack. Last traffic from Misfit-5 ~5mins ago\, TIC\, requesting CASEVAC\, Misfit-6 KIA\, taking command. Radio traffic had gunfire in background\, followed by what sounded like an explosion.

Misfit Platoon is to survive the initial engagement and finish their patrol. Upon finishing the patrol\, collect casualties and KIAs and prepare for CASEVAC.
