Charlie Company has been ordered to immediately move south via motorized assault\, with support from B/1-7 and A/1-7\, to interdict enemy operations at the Mosque just west of Bastam\, a few klicks south of 1-7’s HQ.

There are an estimated 3x local scientists who have been captured by Boko Haram forces overnight in an attempt by enemy forces to manufacture chemical weapons to use against the civilians in the region\, hoping to force NATO to withdraw from the area. They are suspected to be held in the mosque and surrounding compound near Bastam and must be rescued.

These forces are suspected to have mined ASR Dagger with AT mines\, as well as AP and AT mines in strategic locations throughout the AO\, expecting a friendly mechanized assault.
