For selfless devotion to duty in the 7th Cavalry Regiment on the 23rd of February, 2019. On this day, Sergeant Micah Whitsel distinguished himself by devoting his own time and effort into ensuring the upcoming Ranger Selection Candidates were up to par, offering his knowledge in the form of an impromptu advanced land navigation course. Setting up exercises and spending time with each student to make sure they understood the given topics, Sergeant Whitsel dedicated over 2 hours of his free time for this extra training. Sergeant Whistel's selflessness, dedication to his fellow troopers, and generosity of knowledge are in keeping with the highest traditions of the military forces of the United States and reflect great credit upon himself and the 7th Cavalry Regiment.
